In this role, you will work at the intersection of science and business, helping clients secure funds, refine their business and innovation strategies, and bring transformative health innovations to life.

Our India Team

Our India team has been growing since 2019 and consists of a highly qualified, internationally experienced group of consultants working remotely across the country.

INNOVATION CONSULTANT - LIFE SCIENCES & HEALTH - INDIA

As an innovation consultant, you work closely with our clients to transform their innovative ideas into projects and set-up valuable partnerships. You take a leading role in conceptualizing and co-developing their project plan, development pathway and commercialization strategy. You act as the trusted guide and critical partner of our clients to lead them towards success. You will report to the Managing consultant, based in the Netherlands.

Your Role

This role is ideal if you enjoy structuring complex ideas, writing compelling content, and managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

On any given day, you might:

• Develop innovation roadmaps and funding strategies
• Write high-quality grant proposals such as EIC Accelerator, Eurostars or Horizon proposal
• Perform market research, co-develop commercialization strategies and market positioning
• Build partnerships across companies, universities, and research institutes
• You will take ownership of your projects, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

As an Innovation Consultant, you will:

• Own client projects end-to-end, from innovation strategy to funding and commercialization plans
• Develop high-quality grant proposals for EU (e.g. EIC Accelerator, Transition, Horizon Europe) and European national funding schemes
• Act as a strategic sparring partner, challenging assumptions and sharpening client visions
• Build trusted client relationships, managing expectations and delivering results
• Translate complex science into clear business cases, bridging research and market reality
• Leverage modern tools, including AI, to accelerate research, writing, analysis, and project execution

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you bring a consulting mindset, dare to challenge client, take a driver’s seat, excel in critical thinking and have a passion for innovation. 

You have:

• Masters in Sciences, Innovation Management or Business studies (with science background)
• Fluency in English
• Proven experience writing successful grant or business proposals
• At least 5 years of experience in a consultancy, advisory, or client-facing role
• A self-starter mentality — you take the driver’s seat and deliver
• Strong client-facing and advisory skills, with confidence and leadership
• Commercial acumen, understanding how science becomes value
• Excellent leadership capabilities and strong business sense

• Think analytically and conceptually
• Are highly organized and comfortable in managing multiple deadlines
• Are curious about innovation, and emerging technologies
• Confidently use AI tools (e.g. for research, writing, analysis, structuring ideas) and actively explore how they can improve quality, speed, and insight
